Making A Way...

Macon Away Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides  rehabilitation services to the homeless living in Atlanta Ga, and its surrounding cities. Currently  our operating program  provides immediate emergency care package  services that include
distributing FREE clothing, hygiene products and food to the homeless through mobile services.

Macon A Way is dedicated to  seeking out honest individuals, who are in need of assistance and truly wish to gain and remain  self-sufficient. However, due to their current circumstance they lack the resources /credentials and are often turned away from many agencies that offer aid to the homeless, rendering them also helpless as well homeless. Without proper documentation or a home address, they are unable to obtain employment, enroll their children in public school, or even stay in some shelters!

Macon A Way takes a creative and unique approach to the rising problem of homelessness within the metro Atlanta area. By actively going out into the communal areas where our clients reside  to build a rapport to learn their  more about them, their background  to determine the best method of assistance tailored to each individual .  While  partnering with other businesses  local charities, and  with plans for future  programs that will  provide services  to offer total restoration of the client's overall well-being , to re-gain and maintain self-sufficiency free from any long-term government assisted programs.

  We believe in assisting our clients  by not only satisfying their immediate need of food, clothing, supplies or shelter  as a  hand out through our mobile services.  All program clients will actively participate in career training programs, while others will  earn wages through employment within our organization and other partnered programs.  We focus on  giving a Hand Up by building relationships while focusing on  correcting the core issues that led to our clients  current situation(s).  We assist our clients to  establish and regain an identity while also providing  resources and training that will result in permanent self sufficiency to remain free  and non dependent of any government assistance programs!
With the support of our communities , the generosity of our donors and sponsors , and with our successful fundraising!  We plan to build a rehabilitation day center  to provide a positive and safe environment for the homeless  to come and be productive during the day instead of sleeping  in underpasses and on park benches during the day. The Mobile  day center will provide a positive impact on their lives by providing them a place to receive the services they may  need to become and remain self sufficient again.
